The building is part of the University of Aveiro Campus and is intended for multidisciplinary use, including amphitheaters, classrooms and intensively used workrooms.
The building, with a geometric shape in plan that joins a rectangle to a quarter of a circle, has a ground floor and two elevated floors. Consisting of a single structural body, the structures are framed and of walls, in reinforced concrete, generally molded in situ, with the exception of some precast facade panels. The floors are supported by reinforced concrete slabs, supported by beams and strips with straight and circular development and, in some cases, unloading directly onto columns and walls, presenting a fungiform behavior.
It stands out for its curved facade, with double concrete blades that resemble musical sheets.
The foundations are indirect, by reinforced concrete piles, taking into account the geological and geotechnical conditions of the soils.
The building was awarded the Honorable Mention in the category of Work of Exceptional Quality 2000-2003, by the promoting entity.
