Born in Lisbon, September 28th, 1962.

In 1985, completed his degree in Civil Engineering, at Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon), in the Structures area. Has a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, since 2006. Has the Professional Qualification of Senior Member, Specialist in Structures, by the Engineers Association.

Started his professional activity as a trainee Engineer in the project sector, for the company Teixeira Duarte, gaining experience in the field of metallic structures.

In 1986, joined the staff of the company Prequipe, where he assumed the position of Responsible Engineer for the project sector.

In July 1987 joined the team at Betar – Estudos e Projectos de Estabilidade, Lda, as a Design Engineer.

In July 1989, assumed the position of Project Manager at Betar Consultores, Lda, being responsible for the coordination, direction, design and management of the project portfolio.

From January 1993 onwards, accumulates the role of Project Manager with Manager of Betar Consultores, being responsible for all projects of this company and for its various sectors, namely the financial sector.

In 1995, the company Beiratrês – Sociedade de Construção Civil e Obras Públicas, Lda was created, having been elected as manager, maintaining the position to date.

Assumed the role of General Production Director of the GOA System, in May 1997. Is responsible for supervising the development of this System and coordinating inspections, both for GOA system customers and for entities such as Municipal Councils, Concessionaires (Autoestradas do Atlântico, Vialitoral, Viaexpresso Euroscut, Aenor, Brisa) and IP.

In 1997, was elected Vice-President of the Association of Roads and Bridges (APVP), later occupying the position of President of the same Association for three consecutive years (2000 – 2003).

In 2008, the company O&C – Olive & Company, Lda is created, being elected as Manager and remaining until the present date.

In 2010, was elected as Member of the Board of Directors of the Mozambique and Portugal Chamber of Commerce (CCMP), remaining until the present date.

In 2011, was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company MZ-Betar – Engenheiros e Consultores, Lda, holding that position until now.

In 2016, was elected Vice-President of the Executive Committee of the CPLP Business Confederation, having chaired the 1st Economic Conference of the CPLP Market, held in Maputo, Mozambique, in 2018.

In 2020, is appointed Manager of the company Aromas do Mondego – Quinta de São Lourenço, Lda, remaining until the present date.

It should also be noted that, thanks to his vast experience in the rehabilitation and reinforcement of Bridges, has already presented articles at several conferences, including the Luso-Mozambican Journeys on Roads and Bridges Engineering, National Meeting of Metallic and Mixed Construction, or IABMAS – First International Conference on Bridge Maintenance, Safety and Management.

Started his activity in 1987, becoming Partner and Project Director at Betar Estudos e Projectos de Estabilidade Lda, since 1989. Since January 1996, has been Managing Partner of Betar Estudos. He is Partner at Betar Consultores Lda.

Began his activity as a structural designer in the bridge sector in 1987, namely in Bridges projects on the Santarém-Torres Novas of the North Motorway, having also collaborated in the project of bridges in the section of Telheiras on the North-South road axis.

Since 1988, has been developing foundation and structural projects in the building sector. In addition to the Technical Assistance of the various projects for the work that he has been providing continuously, he has also performed several jobs as technical director of construction works and inspections.

In addition to his activity as a Structural Designer, he has been coordinating the various Engineering projects in several Projects, both in the Building and Infrastructure areas, in close collaboration with the architects of the projects.

It should also be noted that his vast experience in the sector led to the presentation of various communications at Seminars in the field of Civil Engineering.

Born in Carcavelos, November 27th, 1965.

In 1988, completed his degree in Civil Engineering, Structures Area, at Instituto Superior Técnico. Has the Senior Member Professional Qualification by the Engineers Association.

Joined BETAR in 1989, being partner of Betar Estudos since 1991 and of Betar Consultores since 1998. Has been the manager of the latter since that date, and of the first since February 2001. He was founder and Managing Partner of the firm Betar Instalações Técnicas and Managing Partner of Betar Planeamento e Fiscalização. He is also manager of Geotest Consultores Geotécnicos e Estruturais.

He began his activity as a structural designer in the bridge sector in 1989, namely in projects for Bridges on the Pombal-Condeixa axis, on the North motorway. Since then, he has developed as an author, coordinator or participated as a collaborator or consultant, on Foundations and Structures projects, with special emphasis on the buildings sector, and more sporadically, on bridges and urban road tunnels.

He has been invited to present several papers in Seminars on Civil Engineering topics, and to teach, as a guest specialist, in classes in Architecture courses at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, at IST, at Universidade Lusíada and at ISCTE.

Started her activity in 1991, as a structural designer at the company Profabril-Centro de Projectos.

In December 1992, she joined the company Betar Estudos, as a Civil Engineer, being partner since February 1998. At Betar, she has participated as a collaborator, or developed as an author, projects for Foundations and Structures, integrated in multidisciplinary teams with other architecture and engineering professionals. She has coordinated several engineering teams.

Since October 2005 she has been the Quality Manager of the BETAR Group.

He has given several training courses in inspection of bridges in Portugal and in several other countries.

He received the Edgar Cardoso Prize, awarded to the best student in the field of Bridges and Special Structures.

From 1998 to 1999, taught Mathematical Analysis at Instituto Superior Técnico.

From 2004 to 2005, taught Resistance of Materials at the Catholic University of Portugal.

From 2000 to 2001, worked as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company with projects in the financial area, telecommunications and energy.

In 2001, joined the company Betar Estudos, in the role of structural design engineer, being a partner in that company since 2003.

Since 2010, has been a representative of BETAR in the Building sector in Mozambique, being a partner at MZBetar.

Also noteworthy is the presentation of papers in Seminars, in the field of Civil Engineering, such as in the Structural Concrete Congress of 2004 where he presented the theme "Acoustic Insulated Buildings in Foundations, Hotel Mundial and Teatro Municipal de Faro".

From 2010 onwards, he was several times invited to lectures at the Faculty of Architecture and Physical Planning at Universidade Eduardo Mondlane.

Born in Alcobaça, January 24th, 1985.

In 2008, completed his Master's Degree in Civil Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon), in the Structures Area, having complemented his basic academic training in 2011 with courses in Structural Concrete and Metallic Structures.

Has the Professional Qualification of Effective Member of the Portuguese Engineers Association, and of the Mozambique Engineers Association, and is also duly registered in Mozambique, at the Ministry of Public Works.

In September 2008, was admitted in the company Betar Consultores.

Since 2012, has been a partner at Betar Consultores.

It is also since that year that he has been permanently deployed in Mozambique, participating in some of the main projects that BETAR has in this country and in Malawi, and helping in the coordination of the MzBETAR operation, a company of which he is a member of the board.

Born in Vila Franca de Xira, October 6th, 1961.

In 1985, completed his degree in Civil Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon), in the Structures Area. Has the Professional Qualification of Senior Member and Specialist in Transport and Communication Routes, by the Engineers Association.

Started his activity in 1985, as a Trainee Engineer at Consulplano, having in 1992 assumed the position of manager of the Transports Division and later, in 1995, the position of Director of the Transports Division.

In 1997 he founded, together with other associates, Viaponte SA, a company that for 25 years developed its activity in the areas of Transport Infrastructure, Bridges, Buildings, Special Structures and Urban Infrastructure. In this company, he performed the functions of Administrator, responsible for the area of ​​Transport and Communication routes.

With Viaponte's integration into the Quadrante group in 2016, he has held the roles of Senior Partner in the Transport area for the last 5 years, being part of the respective leadership team.

In December 2021, was invited to join the staff of Betar Consultores, as a partner of the company, becoming the head of the recently created Department of Transports.

With 36 years of experience in the Transport Infrastructure, he has been responsible for the coordination and technical direction of teams of multidisciplinary studies and projects in the road and railway areas, as well as in the area of ​​urban infrastructure.

Also noteworthy is the large experience in the area of ​​Project Management, having been responsible for the project management of several Road Concessions, from Engineering Studies for the tender stages, to the Preliminary Study, Detail Design and Technical Assistance stages, covering all specialties of road design and bridges, as well as the respective environmental studies.

Born in Santos, São Paulo – Brazil, on December 8th, 1979.

In 2006, completed his degree in Civil Engineering at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia (Universidade Nova, Lisbon). Has the Professional Qualification of Effective Member by the Engineers Association.

Started his professional activity as a trainee engineer in the project sector, acquiring experience in the field of reinforced concrete structures.

In March 2007, joined Betar Consultores as an inspector engineer.

Since 2022, is partner at Betar Consultores.

Over the years has accumulated experience at national and international level in the area of asset management, with a special focus on the inspection and management of bridges and special structures. Since 2013, assumes the role of senior inspector, also with active collaboration in the IT development of the GOA management system.

Born in Lisbon, in 1976

Graduated as Civil Engineer, branch of Structures, by Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon) in 2000, and simultaneously in the general piano course at FMAC, with official equivalence to the Music Conservatory of Lisbon. Has the Professional Qualification of Senior Member by the Engineers Association.

Completed her Master's Degree in Structural Engineering in the same Institute, in 2009. She widened her academic studies with new fields of knowledge, completing a postgraduate course in Smart-Cities with a specialization in business intelligence by NOVA IMS in 2018, receiving the award for best student.

Took her first steps in the design of large-span bridges with Armado Rito (Eng), later moving on to new challenges in the second half of 2005, attending her Master's and joining the staff of BETAR Consultores, where she carried out functions of inspection of road and railways assets, design of bridges and rehabilitation of structures, internal auditor according to ISO 9001 and coordination of multi-disciplinary projects.

Is currently responsible for the national and international procurement and the tender department.

Is co-author of several articles presented at congresses in the domain of bridges and road infrastructures. Participated, while doing investigation in IST during her Master’s, as co-author of books in the field of the structural engineering of ancient buildings and their rehabilitation.

In 2022, joined the BETAR Consultores society.

Born in Castelo Branco, on November 4th, 1981.

Completed a degree in Civil Engineering at the Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon) in 2006, specialized in construction. Has the Professional Qualification of Effective Member by the Engineers Association.

Worked between 2006 and 2009 at Lena Engenharia, first as a production engineer and later in the office of studies and projects.

In 2009 he joined Betar Consultores, integrating the Asset Management team, becoming a senior inspector in 2016. Since 2013, has collaborated on the development of the asset management software - GOA, focused on product management and innovation.

Completed the curricular year of the Masters in Construction and Rehabilitation, by IST (2013) and the curricular year of the Masters in Informatics and Business Systems, also by IST (2020).

Since 2022, is partner at Betar Consultores.

Is a co-author of several scientific publications presented in national and international conferences in the field of Civil Engineering.

Born in Recife, Pernambuco – Brazil, January 7th, 1954.

Obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, on 1977, from the Catholic University of Pernambuco – UNICAP, having complemented his academic training with “Latu Sensu” Post-Graduations in Road Engineering - Emphasis on Highway Drainage, by the Faculty of Engineering of Minas Gerais – FEAMIG, in 2015, and an MBA in Project Management by the Technological Education Institute – IETEC, in 2012.

He took part in several other short courses to better prepare himself for his activities throughout his working period.

He is registered in the Brazilian CONFEA / CREA System and in the Engineers Association of Portugal.

More than 43 years of activities related to the projects, implementation and project management of various projects, with an emphasis on the areas of public works for buildings and transport infrastructure and management of industrial pulp/paper and sugarcane projects.

In 1977, started in the professional engineering market in Coordination and/or Residence in infrastructure deployments of Power Transmission Lines and Networks and Telecommunications Systems, acting as Chief Engineer in an inspection contract for the implementation of LT-500 kV in the Northern Brazil, work with more than 470km in length, as well as acting as Contract Manager, in Uruguay, LT-500 kV - Palmar Dam and Montevideo.

In 1981, started working in the industrial area of ​​cellulose / paper / sugarcane, in the engineering management of industrial parks, reaching the General Management and Superintendence of companies in the sugarcane sector, in Maranhão, Pernambuco and Bahia-Brasil.

In 1991, moved to the area of ​​public buildings, in the State of Espírito Santo, where he was contract manager, branch manager of a company in Brasília-DF.

In 1994, formed his own company, acting for 14 years as Technical Director / Managing Partner, focusing on renovations / construction of public and private buildings, as well as the elaboration of detail design projects for Turn Key contracts.

In 2007, closed the company and started working as a Technical Advisor. During the period, he worked, from contracts including project engineering, to works for the implementation and renovation of public buildings, with greater emphasis on works for educational, hospital and prison purposes, as well as in airport infrastructure works - Terminal of Passengers, Cargo, Electrical Infrastructure and Fire Fighting System. He also worked in the construction of low and middle-income residential condominiums.

In 2009, started activity in the area of ​​transport infrastructure, initially preparing macro-road studies for municipal strategic planning - Vila Velha and Cariacica/ES, as well as accessibility studies and access projects to large industrial plants in Cariacica/ES, concomitantly , worked as resident inspection engineer in the construction of a two-level crossing on the BR-101/ES-Norte.

In 2011, started to work on inspection contracts for large-scale works in the areas of buildings and urban roads (Renovation and Modernization of the Mineirão Stadium and surrounding accesses, Belo Horizonte/MG) and Water Collection/Treatment (Estação de Collection and Treatment of Water from the Velhas River – cap.9 m³/s), Nova Lima/MG (RMGBH).

In 2015, returned to activities in the area of ​​transport infrastructure, coordinating a multidisciplinary team of Supervision and Support for the works of the DER-ES IDB III Program and Supervision and Support of various works and road maintenance contracts of the DER- ES; subsequently, in 2018, started to work in the management of contracts for Supervision and Support for the Inspection of works and road maintenance at DER-ES, including the preparation of road studies and projects (incl., Project Revisions in construction stage), preparation of technical, commercial and price proposals for tenders for Studies, Projects and Supervision and Inspection of road works.

In 2021, took over the implementation, followed by the administrative and technical management of Betar Consultoria e Projetos Eireli.
