This project consists of the design of the industrial building of a Feed Mill, as well as the foundations of four storage silos, the underground galleries and other equipment to be installed at the mill.

The industrial hall comprises 4 bulks: two located North and South, providing clear 6.0m high, a higher central bulk, providing clear 22.0m high, and lastly, a facade bulk, located East, providing 18.0m high.

The structural system of the Hall comprises a series of single-bay portal frames, using steel columns and rafters, made from HEA and IPE steel sections, respectively. At the eaves, in the portal frames, the bending stiffness of the rafters is increased by a haunch, cut from the same size rolled section as the rafter, and welded to the underside of the rafter.

The upper Hall portal frame has a single 15.0m span and the lower adjoining halls portal frames have a single 12.0m span.

Deep foundations were adopted, by using pile foundations, with reinforced concrete piles, having a diameter of 400mm, and pile caps.
