The hospital's expansion building comprises the valences of Maternal and Child Care, External Consultations and Administrative Services. All services are integrated into a single building, comprising three distinct structural blocks, located south of the existing hospital.
The structures are of the frame type, with columns and resistant wall cores, although the "beams" of these frames are ensured by solid flat slabs.
Two of the structural bodies that make up the large foundation block of the hospitalization body are connected to the Access Nucleus, the third structural body, through metal walkways established on all floors.
The connection to the existing building is made through level -1 and materialized by a walkway, consisting of two longitudinal steel Vierendeel beams, with a supported section and a cantilevered section, braced by the floor's and roof's transverse support beams.
