These pedestrian overpasses make the connection between Gare do Oriente station and the Vasco da Gama shopping center in Lisbon. These overpasses were designed by Santiago Calatrava Valls, within the scope of Expo98.

The intervention consisted of carrying out detailed visual inspections and the detailed design for the rehabilitation and strengthening of the structure.

The main structure consists of steel elements, with the deck composed of a spatial structure with a triangular shape asymmetric in relation to the axis of the pavement, formed by two longitudinal hollow sections connected to each other in the vertical plane by "I” sections of variable height and in the horizontal plane by tubular diagonals.

The main arch corresponds to a tubular section with a uniform section throughout its development, connected to the longitudinal tube of the deck through elements with an “I” section of variable height.

As part of the intervention carried out, the entire pavement of the walkways was rehabilitated, the upper supports on the side of the Vasco da Gama shopping center were reinforced and the steel structure was rehabilitated.
