{"id":11795,"date":"2024-05-23T14:55:05","date_gmt":"2024-05-23T14:55:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.betar.pt\/?p=11795"},"modified":"2024-05-23T14:57:10","modified_gmt":"2024-05-23T14:57:10","slug":"9th-african-transport-technology-transfer-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.betar.pt\/en\/9th-african-transport-technology-transfer-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"9th African Transport Technology Transfer Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BETAR took part in the \u20189th African Transport Technology Transfer Conference\u2019, at the invitation of Mozambique&#8217;s National Road Administration (ANE), organised by ANSANRA &#8211; The Association of Southern African National Road Agencies, which took place in Maputo between 21 and 23 May 2024.<\/p>\n<p>On the panel entitled \u2018Building Resilient Transportation Infrastructure for Socio-Economic Development\u2019, Tiago Filipe spoke about the innovation project recently developed by BETAR to integrate new digital tools into its Asset Management system &#8211; GOA, entitled \u2018GOA &#8211; Reshaping Bridge Management with AI, 3D tools and BIM\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>It was possible to reaffirm the advantages that this system &#8211; already successfully used in more than 400 bridges in Mozambique and Malawi &#8211; has in the management of these assets, and to attest that the transition to the new \u2018industry 4.0\u2019, as well as being a challenge, is also a great opportunity, and that BETAR is constantly seeking to develop its product to keep up with the \u2018state of the art\u2019 in the management of bridge-type assets.<\/p>\n<p>Participation in this conference was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge with various relevant stakeholders in the region&#8217;s transport infrastructure sector (Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swazi-land, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe), and to reaffirm the BETAR Group&#8217;s commitment to continuing to be a benchmark in the sector in Mozambique.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BETAR took part in the \u20189th African Transport Technology Transfer Conference\u2019, at the invitation of Mozambique&#8217;s National Road Administration (ANE), organised by ANSANRA &#8211; The Association of Southern African National Road Agencies, which took place in Maputo between 21 and 23 May 2024.
